Alumnus & Composer
Arshag D. Daghlian, a musician and composer, graduated from Anatolia College in 1896 and pursued further studies at the Royal Conservatory of Stuttgart in Germany. Upon returning to Merzifon, he became the director of the Anatolia College orchestra, playing a pivotal role in advancing musical education.
In 1916, Daghlian composed the college anthem, Morning Cometh, with lyrics written by then-President Charles Tracy. The anthem remains a timeless symbol of Anatolia College’s history and spirit.
