Five years after the College was founded in 1886, Tsolak Dildilian began photographing students and teachers, their activities, as well as the numerous new buildings, such as the School for the Deaf, the hospital, and others. As a photographer, he also operated the X-ray machine at the Anatolia hospital for several years. His house and studio were located among the homes of the College’s faculty, which included Americans, Armenians, and Greeks, most of whom were killed during the genocide or the Greco-Turkish War.
