One such case was Frank (Phanos) and Antigone Raphael, refugees from Asia Minor who succeeded in Detroit and formed a profound bond with Anatolia.<br \/>Their generous financial support strengthened the College\u2019s endowment, providing scholarships to many students and enabling them to participate each summer in a six-week program at the Northfield Mount Hermon School in the United States. Through this initiative, Anatolia students broadened their horizons, enhanced their education, and gained invaluable experiences in an international setting.<br \/>In recognition of the couple\u2019s long-standing and invaluable contributions, Anatolia College named one of its amphitheaters after them in 1993.
